all right, that's enough disparaging comment on the
size of my ass, er.. olympic flame extinguisher...

i wasn't even IN salt lake during the closing
ceremonies, sadly, i was in an airport coming back
from a weekend publishing conference. there was a
security breach at the sl airport, so we landed in slc
at 11:30 pm but weren't allowed to get off the plane
until 2 am, while they cleared out the concourses and
searched the place with bomb sniffing dogs. so,
needless to say, i didn't get to watch the closing
ceremonies--and not only THAT--apparently there was
some sort of riot downtown at the budweiser sponsored
area ("bud world"). so finally, some exciting shit
happens and i'm out of town. but on a positive note, i
can't be blamed for its occurrence.
 
i'm glad its all over. even though now we go back to
our boring-little-city selves.
