all right, that's enough disparaging comment on the size of my ass, er.. olympic flame extinguisher...
i wasn't even IN salt lake during the closing ceremonies, sadly, i was in an airport coming back from a weekend publishing conference. there was a security breach at the sl airport, so we landed in slc at 11:30 pm but weren't allowed to get off the plane until 2 am, while they cleared out the concourses and searched the place with bomb sniffing dogs. so, needless to say, i didn't get to watch the closing ceremonies--and not only THAT--apparently there was some sort of riot downtown at the budweiser sponsored area ("bud world"). so finally, some exciting shit happens and i'm out of town. but on a positive note, i can't be blamed for its occurrence. i'm glad its all over. even though now we go back to our boring-little-city selves. alison e. in slc np: whiskeytown, 10 things i heard. jimmy, keep lutzing, honey. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Kate writes: > Well, it was amazing that Alison was able to leap > from that ballon & scale > the tower to do it... >> > Must be all that clean SLC living. > << (I hope that little Italian girl that was knocked > over in the process is > okay) > I have heard reports that our Rose is A-OK and > looking for a Jersey lawyer. >> > << I know Jimmy misses his glory days. > We ALL miss Jimmy's glory days. >> > XO, > --Bob Yahoo!
