The temples in Japan can be awesomely beautiful, inspiring, uplifting, aesthetically perfect, calming in a Zen way, and other adjectives verging on superlative. I was so miffed that I had missed what could have been the concert of a lifetime, and more than likely my only chance ever to see Joni live, and with Dylan to boot. This might sound odd but I never go to concerts for the music - man, I can listen to the music at home; more the atmosphere or the event I suppose. Unless you're prepared to fork out a small fortune and get the best seats in the house, I'd rather give it a miss. However, I'm intrigued what you have to say about the "struggle to watch".
