I really enjoyed Mark's excellent illustration of Grace Slick and just "What was her deal?"
I share his affection for Grace, her music, her mind, her person. She, and the Jefferson Airplane, were favorites of mine, and, to my ears, light years beyond other musical San Francisco treats circa the 1960s. I just finished reading her very enjoyable autobiography "Somebody To Love?" which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get an authentic taste of what that era was all about, whether they are too young to have been there or they were there and therefore can't remember. It's an uncanny self-portrait, funny and literate, and made me love her all the more. -Fred
