Well, I suppose all performers have some lyrics that are not the highest of caliber, to themselves and in the general realm of writing itself, including Joni Mitchell. I don't find Gino's lyrics to pale in comparison to hers at all, for you cannot compare the two, for they are incomparable. I find many of hers brilliant and many insipid, to use the word put forth. Apples and oranges and blemishes in the fruit don't diminish the taste of the sweetness in either, for me.
