I DO know that BST does my favorite version of "God Bless The Child", >and that's saying a lot given that it's Billie's song.

I've never heard of there version. Interesting!!! I hope you are not comparing their version to Billie's version on Decca records. This version is high on the "sappy-angelic" factor because her typical producer for those sessions was not in that day (The rest of those sessions-BRAVO!!!). She has very good versions of this song, studio and live. I think they are on Verve. Also, Diana Ross (yes, i know she's
a _itch but...)version of this song on 'Lady Sing the Blues' is a rock solid Pop/Jazz Version.
The BST version, is it jazzy or are they sticking to their typical formula? Strangely enough, I don't have any of their albums, not even a Greatest Hits. Am I missing out???
