Hi from Vancouver, which took me a grueling 18 HOURS to get to yesterday. Stephen (who keeps up to date with Joni mail) alerted me (who is ALWAYS running behind the times) to the worries about Walt. I went into the Jonifest database from here, (Thanks, Les!!) and got Walt's phone number. I just spoke to him, and he said he's been really under the weather lately, so hasn't been accessing mail, or on the net at all. He is doing OK, and will be on soon. He said to thank everyone for their concern. Hope everyone is having a GREAT Thanksgiving. Waiting for Mark and Travis to arrive for Thanksgiving dinner.
Long story, but have an 8 hour layover in Salt Lake City yesterday, so I called Alison to see what she was up to. This to me is the best part of the JMDL. No matter what city you are in, there is always a friend around the corner. The wonderful, sweeet Alison picked me up, took me to her home, showered me with presents and wine, and sent me off to Vancouver with a homemade pumkin pie. (She took pity on me when she heard the Canadian idea of dessert is cheese and fruit- CHEESE and FRUIT?????? What's up with THAT???) I am overwhelmed with her generosity, and filled with smiles knowing that the same thing would most likely happen in any city with any JMDLer. Hugs, Ashara, feeling especially grateful today
