well i will have to watch this movie again as its been a long time...i LOVE the soundtrack btw & have it (on tape!)...i never read the book but still really liked the movie...dafoe was hard to believe (for me) because i had seen him recently in something else & he was a bad guy ... so it wasn't necessarily his acting but my image of him that worked against me believing he was jesus...which is why i agree with whoever said that jesus is best played by an unknown actor...
