I don't know if Later with Jools Holland is known on the other side of the pond, but a Best Of has just been released on DVD and video; they showed about an hour's worth on BBC2 tonight, and it was superb. Massive Attack doing Karmacoma was stunning; Portishead's first appearance on telly with a spine-tingling Glory Box; Radiohead blowing the roof off with Paranoid Android; D'Angelo getting extremely jiggy; Robbie Williams really ripping into Angels, accompanied by Bonnie Raitt! Then there were wonderful turns from Nick Cave, PJ Harvey, The Hives, and lots more.
