I was only kidding, Catherine; my not knowing Jon Vickers is my ignorance and my loss, but this is less a problem of Canada but of (my) living in a country where 'trashy' US culture is seen by many, especially the young, as the type to acquire. My remark means he is no longer unknown to me and your response (and Wally's) to my comment has led me to a new name, for which I am happy.
