> Why not just take out a gun and kill poor Bob Muller . . . No harm, no foul...believe me, by now I'm used to the GIANT wave of JMDL apathy that cloaks my project like a Dorothy Lamour sarong. No problem, to each their own & I love my peculiar hobby...matter of fact I'm on pins & needles waiting for Feb 25 when New Yorker Melissa Errico releases her new CD with a Night Ride Home cover! And speaking of which, I had previously mentioned the Claire Martin cover of Blue Motel Room, which I have since received and listened to, several times. Very interesting version...firstly, it's a duet with Ian Shaw (who's also given us covers of This Flight Tonight, Furry Sings The Blues and Goodbye Pork Pie Hat), and it's all acapella with a Take 6-style backing chorus. As the track runs under 2 minutes, they only do a handful of the lyrics...they leave out the verse with the pachyderms and also the one where Joni name-checks herself. As for Pazfest? It's f*cking fantastic...the incredible Pink Floyd meets Led Zeppelin take on Hejira with Brian Stoltz throwing in solo after solo is one of the most mind-blowing things I heard all year. And Paz is working on getting the rest of that unforgettable night to us as well, so that's cool. Bob NP: Billy Joel, "The Great Wall of China"
