Lucy, thanks for your post about your efforts to 'be' Joni. I too tried, but, of course, failed. I did have cheekbones (my only good feature!) and waist long blonde hair courtesy of Miss Clairol :-) . In my teens and early 20s people said I sounded like her, which was the ultimate compliment to me. But alas, all that changed... I'm happy to be me, but I have to admit that seeing even the video clips from the CHC/PBS special have me "looking in longing on the sly" at the good old days.
