Guys command was really great and full of exciting stories, from sneaking out
to kwarf(kwararafa and farin gada just to buy kose and doya), to those safari
trips to the orchad/school farm and stream. from sleeping on trees in the
orchard to dodge friday pre-inspection work, to some of my homies (not
mentioning names here) who go to toilet with biscuit wrappers and a whole lot.

wish we can get some present commandos still in school to give us gist about
present day happenings. i know the bullying must have reduced considerably,
students probably have gsm and internet in school etc.

Please anyone knows the whereabouts of the following '91s biodun ajayi, kazeem
adeleye, allen and franklin iwute, sunday chiejine, akinfe,
Guys keep it up.

I totally agree. For those who never sneaked out, I feel they
missed.
And for those who never got caught, you also missed.. But Razaq u really
sneaked out sha o. and that boy called Babafemi Ojo. talking of Babafemi,
I will add him to the list as well if he is not yet there.

I can picture all ye compulsive sneakers coming back right in the middle of
night prep with your bag of goods in the bush somewhere. Then you work in
with your head high like say na toilet una dey come from. The smell of kose and
the straight face always gives them away.

Ye, I must say it was all fun.
Sure would have had a lot of interaction difficulties if not for Command.
But trust me GSM is anoda level. Difficult to
say if it is good or bad. For one,
they might have less face-to-face meetings which is definitely bad for the
confidence and also bad for learning to read body language. but, there
imagination
would compensate for it because they have to think of how to say things and
judge peoples
reactions by vision. They would be damn good chess players if you ask me.

Whichever way, our seniors too would argue that things were much better in
their time. I guess we are right from different perspectives.

ODU...yep now thats what it was called back then..but definetly not on the
scale its on right now..i can just imagine how the present commandos will be
doing in school..am sure "odu" whould have reached a new dimension... imagine
if we had GSM during our time???am sure tiwex and co whould have not been
caught in town cos a look out person will have flashed them or called that AO
was around....or maybe we will have placed our food and kose order on phone so
that we dont stay to long there..as we get there we eat and vamoose..or flash
that babe of yours that u r on your way to the "spot"...just imagine the
possibilities.
...right now am thinking of all the near escapes that i had on my various
sneeaking missions and how GSM would have greatly improved things...am sure it
will not be allowed in
school..but think of all the things that were prohibited in school back then,
that we still had in school...endless list...now am not saying sneaking out of
school was a good thing..no..but it was surely neccessary to prepare one for
the hard knocks of life as experienced in naija...it greatly contributed to the
top education we got in command..while books made us knowledgable. .sneaking
made us streetwise.. dont you agree? Razaq 92 set

In the life of me, one name i will never forget in CSSJ is Victor Irene '89
set! He had an allergy to dust so he neither swept the floor nor pick paper
during compound work, he would just say he's allergic to dust and he would be
exempted.Until I entered CSSJ i never had malaria fever before. Until this
particular attack, it was bad! I was rushed to the dispensary and then the
staff nurse on duty took one look at me and i heard her say my condition was
bad, i was scared stiff. Anyway, she asked if i was allergic to chloroquinne
and I said NO, in my
half conscious state, i told her only Victor Irene is allergic plus i wanted
anything that would relieve me.So she gave me full dose of the drugs. I felt
better almost instantly. The truth was that until that day i too didnt know i
was allergic to Chloroquinne. I got to the hostel and then had a bath with cold
water! To cut a long story short, nobody slept in FHH that nite and eventually
i was rushed to rukuba the every next morning. ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL:
Victor was also allergic to beans or akara or boiled eggs (one of these not so
sure anymore) it used to give him heart burns. So as his main man, i got his
share! So i never really got mad at him for the trauma i felt he caused, later,
i spent a week in the library reading anything on allergy i laid my hands
on!Victor, where u dey? u nearly delete me those days walai!

Tiwex, I salute ur memory..Rocking Odu ranged from mercury in
transformers to the Chrome of Mercedes Benz, even down to Electric
metre..the only problem then is that you needed a lot of the samples
to make a hit...and u needed more 'runs'...most dudes however feared
the mercury thingie based on the horror stories of those it splashed
on...If it was real mercury, like u'd know based on ur background,
that would be some dough o!
