Men all these Stories are so funny and when you read it now you just laugh.I
remember a few guys in my time, some real names i have forgotten, but if there
was anything like expert sneakers these guys were it.There is this guys called
Argentina ,Sale M.T Sale,he used to sneak like it was legal and normal to do
so.Sale would walk past the back gate like it was the front gate in the full
view of people.Men another guy called Jack Lord, infact he was more outside than
inside, you could call Jack Lord a visiting student. These were men who had seen
more Chinese and Indian movies than the Chinese and Indians themselves. When
they came to tell stories we d fear fear commandos would gather to listen. If
those guys were smart they should have collected gisting fees from us, they
would have made more money than Kwararafa and New Era.
One memorable time i sneaked out was in my final year with Ottong Ekpo,we had
just finished the command /federal govt colleges art and science festival. There
was a party that night and FGC was hosting. The principal Mr. Ligali sent for
me and said no command student is permitted to attend the party.Ottong my
accomplice and i had been toasting women from all the Federals that
came.kai!!! how we no go go groove. As prefects we devised a plan.after dinner
we walked straight to the gate carrying in our hands biros and notepads. We got
there i think it was Oga Sunny (who remembers him ?) that was there. As prefects
we told him that we were going to Federal to make sure no command student was
at the party that if there is anyone there we were bringing them to face the
law.No one asked us for authority or exeat, here we were, sneaking out of school
through the gate RECORD!!!!!!!Break this somebody. We get to the party and as
expected it was loaded with command
girls and boys.na the girls shock me pass.We lied to them that we had come for
them see fear wey full their body but after a while when they saw us groooving
they relaxed. When we were tired of grooving we decided to go back to school and
advised everybody to do the same. Two girls followed us back to school (names
withheld) we lifted the fence for them to crawl under we then strolled into
school and announced to Oga Sunny that no one was there this was way pass
lights out. When i think about it i grin because in CSSJ at that time to be a
hero you must break the rules. What warped thinking.

I waz quite a good boy and never smelt scaling fences until my final year and
thereabout my final paper when my group of comrades ; chiwendu ogbonna, lawani,
myself & a fourth G, ALL flying horse house members called our senses to order
and asked ourselves this "..how can we pass through this school without
sneaking even oneday?.." immediatly, we all agreed to sneak out. We strategized
and reasoned that going by the back of the school was more dangerous with local
guards running around and armed with bow & arrow. So we planned going by the
front & tall wall. Like our true name bears COMMANDO, at night we moved to the
last class building and seeing that the coast was clear, one at a time we ran
and stopped at intervals across the field expanse to the front fence. After
making the first hurdle, we then planned how to scale the high fence. Men, at
our best jump our hands could not just touch the top. Atlass. our tall friend
lawani placed his hands for us
shorter bush soldiers to ladder up and upon clearance that there were no
beaming headlight from vehicles along zaira road we jumped the fence and layed
flat on the ground. All four made it over the fence and ofcourse succesfuly to
faringada. We enjoyed ourselves as it seems, but we prided ourselves most that
we were not ODE !! all through our career in the great CSSJ. We adopted same
strategy enroute school, only by the wiskers did we miss the commandant col
ayoola. Boy were we lucky !!! as we felt the way tony akhidenor felt when his
mama was returning him to the warm embrace of the commandants imaginative
expulsion. Such risky attempt hahaha !! though not advicable sharpens ones
survival insticts. John 88 set
