Snr Arewo, Are you serious or joking about the '95 exclusive site' ? Like Ajibola said, not only is it not exclusive to 95 set. The tone of the conversation is very light and friendly and nobody pulls rank the way I have seen it being done on this group. We like it the way it is, we tease one another, we remember stupid fun things from CSSJ. If this discussion was taking place in that group, the snr who told my younger sister Bidemi to mind the tone of her language would have been told by me to jump in the lake or better yet to save that attitude for his house where is he king and master. He should leave his king Kong attitude in the zoo. Unfortunately we were not in that forum, so I kept my peace. We are all proud if how much stronger command made us and we all overlook the hell snrs put us through because we all at one point were on the receiving end or giving end. Bearing this in mind, people ought to respect how they talk to jnrs in social forums. Don't lord it over them or speak to them like we are all back in school. There are a lot of emotions that people are putting under checks for the sake of peace. It doesn't mean they have forgotten. We all conveniently forget that side of our past for the sake of civility. Let everybody respect themselves so we can keep that past in the past What I'd have expected was an apology from the snr as well immediately Bidemi did. She's always been one of the gentle souls I guess. Had he said that to me, I would have told the snr to also mind his own language and respect his old age. I'm doing so now. Nobody gives my sister hassle in my presence. Not then in school and certainly not now. Reading through the lines here, i must confess i am proud to be a commando. May God crown all our efforts with success. But to clear the cloud brought about by some site. The group that someone in 95set was referred to is not one to cause division, rather it is a group to build the fraternity that exists amongst commandos. The group is a facebook version of this yahoogroup and it is not formed solely for 95set, infact it was not formed by a 95set member, it was formed by a 99set member for all commandos for all sets. We have many people from various set in the group and the total number of commandos on the group at the moment stands at 482 and it was created last week tuesday or so. I must tell you , sir, that there are some people that are not in this yahoogroup, but through this other group, they can get updates as regards how to join and what and what is being discussed at the moment. You can search for the group CSSJ-Common Events and Slangs on facebook to confirm what i am saying. Commandos stand as one forever. Hi Harold, u did hit home no doubt about it,something for posterity, this a good one in the right direction. Harold where is your brother my set mate? U could reach me @ [email protected]. If not for just the name Command, our dear sch now stand not any less the way we saw n rated our next door neighbors Naraguta Sec Sch. For the authority response on the way forward would be a hard one to pin down but we could give it a shot. Been proactive here would do us all some good. We should set a time frame to raise funds and get a road map on our target reforms. A little drop is just the chain reaction we need here. Simple plan actions. We've got Arc & Engr's in the house. This falls to their lots of which I am one by HIS Grace. My time would be made available for this runs. A redesign of the Sch gate could just start this chain reactions. My last count when I did drop by last Nov '09, a large scale dualisazation of the the Zaria rd to Gada biu n tru Unijos rds was under construction, it would have been completed by now except if the Jos part 6 didn't kill the project. Not to be derailed the the Jos pt 6 issues, Ur home is Ur home war or no war, it's still ur home. A simple top up redesign job of our gate should send pegs in, questions would start to crip in. But not to point any fingers at any one, this Sch has left n imparted so much in our lives dat we should be all great full in the first instance. For me and my AFIEGBE'S Sibblings, CSSJ EXCO, Pen me down for a N100,000:00 on or b4 31-12-2010 Command re-sharped my live n I am great-full. Awa ( Command Nursery sch), Command Childred Sch & Comman Sec Sch Jos ). Am in for this re-branding. Where would I be by now if the ARMY had never set up a Scholarship system in the first place, Heavens only knows. My target guys is do a touchup job on my three times class rm block, I went tru dat block 3 times, 1A, 2A & 5A. I had to visit Command last year, I needed to deal with an issue. The Sch kept prompting in my dreams for years, I had to set myself free by visiting. In the years gone by, I had clear revelations of all the building in dat sch, I meet a 91 set in Lagos in '03 n asked questions on specifics where certain buildings were, added building or building coming or would come up, I made a drawing n she confirmed my fears. Guys I must do this, there's a reason for everything in this Live. Together we stand divided we fall. My candid advise to the 95 set, is 4 u guys to close Ur exclusive site. We were trained by the Army, we are 1 not two in a house, democracy is not allowed, u made dat choice when u crossed dat Main Gate. Obey b4 complain. Dats our MOTTO. Be warned! We have zero tolerance for Muntiny. Hi guys, A few weeks ago, I started a small write up on "my memories of command". I guess I was inspired by some of the stories I was reading, and wanted to share my own version of how I saw Command in my days. I stopped when the direction of conversation changed, but thinking about it, I will finish it and post it sometime. The diversity in this group is simply sublime and it is interesting to see how the different views are expressed and received. Do you guys know that just by reading your comments, one can try to describe some of us here? It's just beautiful to see how we pour ourselves out when we write. Maybe one day, when I have the time, I will try to do short descriptions of people who have contributed here. I may not be 100% correct, but I'm sure some things I say will hit home. As for our dear Command, hmmmmmm! I will like us to keep the ideas coming, as somehow, we will find a way to agree on what must be done. My suggestion is to go for something that will outlive us, like a foundation or a scholarship. If we are able to agree on some kind of yearly contribution, we can have the best student in the entrance exams, or the interviews, go through the school on a scholarship fund. This will drive students to want to do well. We might also make it that the best graduating student goes through university on a scholarship. This may push them to focus on their academics. If we are able to pull more funds together, we can extend it to sports – the best athlete, or the best in something will get an opportunity to develop their interest in any institute of their choice anywhere in the world. These are big dreams I know, but it is something to aspire to. If we as a group can find a way to set this up, posterity will refer to us as the ones who created a new future for Command. I still think the school is ultimately about the students who pass through it; though the state of the infrastructure is very concerning. I also think that the attention this will give to the school will force the authorities to want to present a better image. U would see pictures I took in the 80's,d very foundatn of Command, how we sat in glass classes, green quadrangles, clear No-go areas about the Hostel area by vehicles, Snr now men and sisters now mothers, U guys would laugh where did this all came from but I have them. U guys would see how the presence assembly hall was built, how the dinning hall used to be, alot of glorious days in the Sun of our their old CSSJ. I await a way for wand to re-awrite our CSSJ. Thanks. Arewo. 85. ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thu, November 11, 2010 7:22:31 AM Subject: A MUST READ! Re: [Jos Commandos] The State of Command Jos Dear Paul and all ye Commandos , I feel you in this matter. 2 things I feel can be done. A couple us can pay a visit to the school to ascertain what it will cost to put the place back in shape. Then let's come back to lagos and organise a fund raising dinner and invite all the who is who's whose children have passed through the scool. Those of us who have pictures from command in its days of glory should get them together as we will need them for publicity. If we pursue this event with huge publicity and 'funfare' we will achieve something big. Haba! Command, my Command. Vivian Akinyosoye. 86' set. Am happy people are now getting angry and asking questions. I see good responses coming. If 90's sets are crying out this loud! What should the 80's sets do! Maybe we should all go to Jos n block the Sch gate for quick answers. What U 90's sets are crying about is just a chip of what CSSJ was in my time. I felt a deep pain when I did visit. I walked in through my classs, dinning hall to the my hostel, not even one student stopped or greated me, that's how low the moral up bring of the young one's in sch. All the green grass quadrangles are gone, very tall grass in our football pitch behind the Admin block, buildings planted indiscriminately. U need to visit. I assure U, from the gate U will start to cry. Or better still if not for the name of the sch, U might drive pass it only to reach FGC then U will recon U've passed Commmand. CSSJ now pass for Naragutta Sch. I hope to be in Abj when Commandant would visit, Guys & Chicks, lets take our WARS to him when he visit. Thanks. Hello, Compliments. It just came into my mind that all this while,we have been complaining about the deplorable state of Command Jos and we are yet to look deep within. Seeing pictures of the present state of CSSJ,gives you the jibes. The first thing that comes to our mind is what can we do&how fast can we implement it. Have you ever asked yourselves.......What has the Military been doing with all the funds allocated to Military schools by the Federal government. The Military has an educational unit primarily for educational purpose. Funds are allocated for the yearly upkeep of this schools. The question should be....what's the Flow process?are the funds reaching the school?what has the commandant been doing?where are the loop holes coming from? The Commandant should be heavily questioned.....since he is the last man standing. The Ufodike era also popped into my mind, the way&manner he almost milked the school financially. The Flow should be questioned, not just we(the ex-students)crying over the deplorable state of the school.Fine that we can make our own contribution but what stops the school from been fair to the students. Government has made provision for all this, down to the basic infrastructures like Computers,to tell you or show you how the world is advancing.......Did the school make any provision for it,which I doubt but yet the school was. smiling with the recently Donated Computers......then where did the funds allocated for the provision of the computers gone to? Additional questions......What has the Military Educational unit doing about the states of the school?Do they still supply educational materials like before? What does the Commandant do with all the funds channelled to him? Why are the students paying the huge price? Next time we are making donations to the school.....It should be questioned internally...not just because of the glory of it. My Candid observation. Nice day BR//
