The footprints on the sand It was a dream. I was walking through the barren sand dunes. I was all alone and was anxious. And, to my surprise, I understood that I was in the company of the Lord, my Master. I marvelled at it this company. And, on the sand, I noticed two sets of footprints: one was mine and the other of the Lord (Aye! Lord was walking with me!!).
Walking through the dunes, I was going through the past years of my life, sharing my burden with the Lord. Some of the recent events too were shared with the Lord. Suddenly, I began looking on to the sand dunes behind me and was watching the formation of the footprints. To my surprise, I found out something : as I was passing through some of the most difficult state of my life, there was only one set of footprints. Disturbed and confused, I asked myself and my Lord, "Why Lord have you abandoned my company during my troubled years?" "No Son, it is not the way you have seen it," replied the Master, "I was carrying you on my shoulder and walking across the dunes.
