Right, and the link I sent above (http://jsbin.com/atojo) is a version of the same page using the nightlies. It does work in IE6/7; I just tested IE8, and it works there too. I still don't know why your page isn't working, but as far as I can tell, Matt's original page works with the latest nightlies in all recent versions of IE.
