I've never experienced this myself. We have jQuery loading from the explicit Google URL (https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/ 1.2.6/jquery.min.js) as opposed to the loader (although we're using that on other products) so far with no issues. We get 6 million+ pageviews/month.
My guess would be your network.
