Hi everyone, I've been doing some work with jQuery photo galleries and have found myself running up against this problem again and again (disclaimer: I'm totally not a javascript expert):
My requirement is to build a gallery/slideshow that can potentially acommodate hundreds of images at a time. I realize this is generally not a good idea, but it presents an interesting dilemma in how that slideshow can degrade for non-JS users. The Galleria plugin has the smart preloading options I think would be necessary, but it degrades to full-sized images. Do any of you guys have experience with making it degrade to thumbnails instead, just to lessen the load on the page?
