first remove 
  jQuery.easing.def = ‘easeOutBounce’;
then replace
   function animate()
    {
        $('#newThread').animate({left:0}, 2000);
    }
with
  function animate()
    {
        $('#newThread').animate({left: "0px"}, 2000, 'easeOutBounce')
    }
