In your case there is no other way for the browser to handle this
(because for a moment - right between the switch of the tabs where
none is visible - the page height decreases thus the scrollbar goes up
and then stays there...

To fix it you'd need to give a container that contains the tab panels
a fixed height. I could think of another solution, but have no time to
try that right away.
