Unsure what you are referring to as the "editor to
act as a server" when referring to UltraDev. UltraDev is Macromedia's
editor for developing jsps (as well as asp and cf). (Sorry, Dreamweaver is
only able to handle asp code and even then it is not really a robust editor for
doing this...it just handles it). UltraDev works with your app server
during development, it doesn't replace it.

I thought Dreamweaver would 'know about' and edit jsp files automatically. There's an .asp file-type listed but not jsp. I think a 'translator' is required. Anybody know how to enable jsp-aware editing? I'm not looking for the editor to act as a server (a la Ultra-Dev), but mostly just to be able to edit the embedded html without messing up the jsp inside. Thanks in advance. |
