We are experiencing a similar problem. We are using servlets to perform our
business logic. The servlets then render jsp pages. Quite often we get a
page not found screen. If you refresh, the screen will come up. When it
happens, the not found message comes back immediately, so it seems as if the
request is not really being handled. It doesn't wait the way it would if a
database query was timing out or something. This happens frequently with
our jsp pages. I haven't seen it happen with the html on the same server.
This is a test environment and it happens ever with very low load.
We are running JRUN 3.0 and Apache 1.3.12
