Are you ;running any of your audio or midi devices on a hub?
If you are, try a direct connection and see if that improves things.

this probably means that Sonar hasn't actually opened properly or,
that you have a window with a message obscuring something. Note:
you're projects may even be playing back fine. Try closing down
Sonar. Then, check in the task manager for:
sonarpder.exe
and kill off that process. Try opening Sonar again after doing all
of the above. Let us know if that works.
