Hello guys,
I truly appreciate all the support and thoughts you have offered
regarding the future of JSonar.
I don't think the issue is as complicated as it may seem. Below are some
of my thoughts in no particular order:
1. Everyone is welcome to contribute -- FAQs, articles, tips, tricks,
tutorials, podcasts, etc -- for inclusion on the jsonar.org web site.
Phil Muir, DJX and Peter Torpey have demonstrated their support in this
way on multiple occasions.
2. Translations have been encouraged for a while now. We had some
fabulous work started by Nicki D, DJX, Victor Gorelov, Marco Zehe and
others, but this work is not complete and needs a lot of attention and
people's time.
3. Source code is open to everyone. If you have an idea, a patch, a
feature, please shoot me a note. Roy Shtupler, Tim BUrges, Peter Torpey
and others have contributed some important pieces to JSonar.
4. Last but not least, I ask for people's feedback on the documentation,
jsonar.org, but always receive answers fro mthe same people. Why?
5. Testing, testing, testing... If you could help reproduce certain
problems by outlining steps, this would be a huge help already.
Honestly speaking, if the community did any of these fives things,
JSonar project would be in a much better shape.
Just a couple of my thoughts.
Victor
