Drew,
Have a quick peruse through the Readme or jsonar.org and let us know how
you could contribute, whether in FAQs, articles, your personal notes,
tips and tricks -- I guess, anything that would be helpful to the JSonar
user. :)
I'd be certainly happy to highlight the most frequent contributor in
whatever way I can; your web site, a little ad from you about your
services or whatever...

Yeah, same here.
I'm utterly rubbish at coding and broke pretty much of the time, but
there are other areas I can contribute to, like documentation and help
files. I think what might make things easier is a list of areas that are
poorly or incompletely documented, as that's certainly something I could
help with.

Totally agree Vick. I certainly have been guilty of simply downloading
the JSonar snapshots, and failing to frequently give feedback, and to
contribute to the list or the site. I'll do my best to dedicate some
time to this in the future. I am aware that Phill, Tim, Chris, DJX,
Roy etc, as well as yourself are constantly helping others with all
maneer of issues, whether they be JSonar related or not, whereas I
only chime in from time to time. While I'm sure the afformentioned are
probably a bit more knowledgable than myself, I could certainly do
more to help.
dare I also mention, donations? Again, I've been guilty of taking
JSonar and HsC sets for free, rather than making a contribution. I
intend to rectify that too.
I know exactly what you mean Vick. If more of us made small
contributions in whatever way we could, the community certainly would
be richer for it. So this is my personal pledge to try and help as
much as I can in future.
OK, I'm glad that's on record. You can hold me to that!
Does anyone have any thoughts on how we could develop our
rrelationship with sonar? There's still quite a few things that we
don't have access to in sonar. Bus automation, Audio snap features,
full fx chaining capability, access to beatscape for instance.

Hello guys,
I truly appreciate all the support and thoughts you have offered
regarding the future of JSonar.
I don't think the issue is as complicated as it may seem. Below are some
of my thoughts in no particular order:
1. Everyone is welcome to contribute -- FAQs, articles, tips, tricks,
tutorials, podcasts, etc -- for inclusion on the jsonar.org web site.
Phil Muir, DJX and Peter Torpey have demonstrated their support in this
way on multiple occasions.
2. Translations have been encouraged for a while now. We had some
fabulous work started by Nicki D, DJX, Victor Gorelov, Marco Zehe and
others, but this work is not complete and needs a lot of attention and
people's time.
3. Source code is open to everyone. If you have an idea, a patch, a
feature, please shoot me a note. Roy Shtupler, Tim BUrges, Peter Torpey
and others have contributed some important pieces to JSonar.
4. Last but not least, I ask for people's feedback on the documentation,
jsonar.org, but always receive answers fro mthe same people. Why?
5. Testing, testing, testing... If you could help reproduce certain
problems by outlining steps, this would be a huge help already.
Honestly speaking, if the community did any of these fives things,
JSonar project would be in a much better shape.
Just a couple of my thoughts.
Victor
