Midi learn and assign a fader to the volume on that track.

I am looking for a way to insert a series of volume events into an

example, from -15 DB to 0 DB, between the time range of 3:01:000 to 3:03:000.
I thought of using the Insert Series of events and choosing Volume,
but does this not insert only controler 7 midi volume events and
thus will not affect an audio track?
