I don't think beginner questions are avoidable.  Everyone just needs to be a
little more patient and refer people to the archive site if you know the
question has been resolved on the list in the past.  If someone has a basic
question they could be refered to the FAQs.  Lets try not to get so upset.
Hopefully those people new to JSP, servlets, and/or Java will stay on the
list, learn, and eventually be able to contribute solutions that will
benefit everyone.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think jsp-interest needs to split into more then
just one
mailing list. There should be a list that address model issues, another for
implementation issues etc. I don't have a problem with high volume mailing
lists, I
just hate reading 30 posts about crap thats been answered several hundred

over, every morning.
