Hi Jose,
We faced the same problem too and after days of frustration, finally
found that the jsp compiler after generating the .java file and then
attempting to compile and create the class file,=3D20
finds <dbtest\update.jsp> in the comment of the .java file(referring
to the line number in the .jsp file).=3D20
This makes the compiler think that you have '\u' in your code against =
=3D
which
it issues an "Invalid escape character" error message.
The only way around it is to rename your file not to start with a 'u'
:)
