Hi,
I hardly did anything to get decent performance. I just used the default
settings and set the specific parameters for my virtual servers.
I recently bought Professional Apache from Wrox and it's a very good book.
It has a whole chapter on performance and it talks about both windows and
unix.
Threadsperchild 50 seems OK to me. It's the default. For very busy servers
you can go up till 1024. But I don't think that's necessary.
MaxRequestsPerChild is only relevant on Unix systems. Anyway, 0 is a good
value for this.
I think you'll have to look at other parameters.
What about the cpu and memory apache takes?
