JOB DESCRIPTION:
===============
Sakonnet is seeking Software Engineers to work on its Technical
Support team. The team's role is to ensure clients' productive use and
the continuous, successful operation of a complex real-time trading
application
Responsibilities include in-depth analysis of issues raised by front
line support, proposing customer-centric solutions to support issues,
and making software changes to support the solutions. It is expected
that the Engineer debug production issues and generate product fixes
and improvements as well as liaise with the rest of the development
team to assist with testing and distribution of new releases and
technical configurations.
EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
================
The Software Engineer must possess high degree of facility with
advanced computer applications and environments and experience with
Java Development. Exposure to other software development tools is a
plus (C++, Perl, Shell Script, Awk, Expect). The Engineer must have
the ability to investigate and fix technical issues quickly
(troubleshoot, analyze log files, bug fixing) and have clear written
and verbal communication. Knowledge of a European second language is
an advantage
QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in equivalent roles
- Fluency in the English language
- Strong analytical skills
