Looking at the technology (and the claims) of Qt5 i'd also prefer a working Qt5 adaptation for julia, however looking using Qt in C++ with the dedicated build process and this macro preprocessor business i have the feeling this will not be a simple story for julia. You could claim python has Qt working, so why don't we, but the looking closely PySide is QT4 only and PyQt looks a little bit like UNIX centric again (make in the installation process). Cxx might bring the all this a no cost to julia, but still we will have to wait for stable v0.4 and Cxx on all platforms.
