I thought I would add my two cents on Java 1.6. SkyJUMP currently uses Java
1.6.0_01. I recently considered upgrading to Java 1.6.0_05, but found that
it was VERY much slower. Everything was slower. The GUI was visibly more
sluggish. Of course, it may be only on my particular processor, but it is a
fairly mainstream P4 3.2Ghz Dell with 1.5GB of RAM. If you decide to
upgrade your Java version, I would recommend doing a few benchmarks before
and after.
