Hi,
for mineral prognastication, tried to have result
A shape (attribute CODE) + Bshape (Attribute Number) = Polygons with attributes
(Code and Number) from both layers, only populated If they intersect.
Example:
1.For the resultant polygon pieces, Code=1, Number=200 when they intersect
2.For the resultant polygon pieces, Code=1, Number=0 or NA when they donot
intersect.
Method:
1. A and B layers are selected and Replicated to a NewLayer with right click
menu.
2. NewLayer is polygonised and renamed as AB (it has no attributes)
TRANSFER OF ATTRIBUTES
3. Tools --> Edit Attributes --> Transfer Attributes
Layer A= AB
Layer B= A
Realation= Contains
Un-Expected Result: Though the smaller polygons of AB are contained by
A polygon layer only a few are transfered.
Had this worked then with these steps, the UNION as desired could be achieved,
by repeating a few steps.
