I am assuming this also includes SCB. If that's the case then its ok and
further you need to check on SCBE (New one) and currently installed MPC/DPC
compatibility.

If not then please check with Juniper if RE-S-1800x4 supports SCB (Old one) (my
guess is it will not) and then MPC/DPC compatibility.

Subject: [j-nsp] Routing Engine upgrade

Hello all,

Kind of a general question but just wanted to double check any gotchas.

We are upgrading some of our routers from RE-S-2000 to RE-S-1800x4.

This should just be putting the new on in the backup, letting it sync and
upgrade software as needed and then doing switch over, then performing same
step on the primary.

Is there anything that I am missing, are there any odd issues with the
RE-S-2000 that could cause a crash of some sort?

Thanks
