Thanks, Seth, I will take care with the dash-dash-space. Upon doing further research, I am seeing that the full message made it to the gmail server, while. Yet, copies with missing parts showed up on my Mac's Thunderbird email client. So now I am totally scratching my head. I have no idea how these fragments of text could become missing from the emails. If I solve the mystery, I will report.
