I see what your saying but in order to send these emails to the trash or junk folder they need to be deleted in the first place so it sounds as if what you are saying is I need to empty the trash and junk folder first and then perform the bulk delete from my inbox and then go back to emptying the two folders again!?
I'll take another look for the search folder options but unless I am using a massively different version to you I can't understand why I'm not seeing the right options.
