VK:
Heya. Finally got to look at your changes today. Some quick
feedback on them:

1. I can now change the type in the "Icon Properties" PropPanel,
thanks. Problem is that it doesn't change the PropPanel tabs
like it should (ie, the list of PropPanel tabs needs to be
type-dependant). For example: I'm running a Linux box on my
LAN with a web-server. Kaboodle "discovers" it as an appliance,
accoding to my design guidelines. So if I change it back to
a PC type now using this fix, I then want to be able to VNC
to my webserver. But the VNC tab doesn't come up for this
device: the PropPanel tab list is still fixed as an appliance.

2. The "active icon" default works well, thanks.

I then noticed something else weird:

3. When I select a network printer icon in the GUI, one of the
other devices in the GUI suddenly gets a Kaboodle halo. That
other device isn't running Kaboodle, and it only happens when
I select the printer -- it goes away when I de-select the
printer. I recall there *used* to be some code which added
a check-mark halo when a printer was selected (it was trying
to show which device was the print server for that printer),
but I thought that code was deactivated. I guess not. :)

        Thanks!
