Hi all,
I'd like to hear your opinions how we should deal with gjdoc for the
next release.
Currently, an old version is merged into Kaffe. I'd like to remove it
and just use configure to find an installed gjdoc in the $PATH, and
to symlink our bin/javadoc to it. I've committed a patch to do that if
--enable-gjdoc is not passed to configure.
Gjdoc is available in ports on FreeBSD, and in most Linux distributions,
but it doesn't seem to be in either OpenBSD ports nor NetBSD pkgsrc,
so I think the best course of action is to make it an optional component
for configuration and building, and to just create the symlink
if gjdoc (or javadoc) can be found.
Implemented as announced ;) As no one spoke up for keeping gjdoc around,
and at least Debian does not even build Kaffe with it, I've purged it
from the CVS HEAD.
I'll do the same for tritonus, cp-tools (javap), gnu inet and dnsjava.
cheers,
