I was told that they were 'preventive' in nature. Essentially, the Forums are fairly heavily used and also have rather high bandwidth and server needs. I believe they moved the databases over to new servers and tweaked settings. I assume that they are having problems again and are working on it. > > Only the web based version of the forums is down (http://www.macromedia.com/support/forums/). You can still access the forums and presumably the archives via a news reader. Long before Forums type software there was Usenet News (30,000+ newsgroups exist), think of it like a big forum in text format. In many cases it is actually faster/easier to use a news reader. > > I prefer XNews for a news reader. http://xnews.newsguy.com/ The 'test' version is stable for me and its a free app you can also get from download.com > > Ryan > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ========================================================= > Kansas City ColdFusion User Group's website & listserv is > hosted through the generous support of Clickdoug.com > To send email to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To (un)subscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with your request. > For hosting solutions http://www.clickdoug.com > Featuring Win2003 Enterprise, RedHat Linux, CFMX 6.1. > ====================================================== > ========================================================= Kansas City ColdFusion User Group's website & listserv is hosted through the generous support of Clickdoug.com To send email to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To (un)subscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with your request.
