I cannot fix a bug that I cannot reproduce. Only you, who can reproduce the bug, can help me fix it. Hence my suggestion to try with more recent code. If this indeed would fix your problem, next step would be git bisect. Then I would be able to identify which change creates the issue (which I cannot reproduce), and would be able to either backport (indeed), or provide a patch, or investigate further (with your help).
