            Bug ID: 516150
           Summary: Ideas for KDE Linux
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

1. Don't use Firefox browser as 90% of its revenue comes from the sponsorship
with Google. It has Google as the default search system and is implementing AI
features (even Brave doesn't have them, it only has Leo assistant which is an
absolutely different thing, it analyzes page content, but Firefox has some kind
of a panel with AI chat site icons). Zen browser is a good alternative, it's
used in Origami Linux.

2. Since KDE Linux is immutable it's problematic to install packages that don't
have a Flatpak version. To address this problem, you can preinstall Nix package
manager which installs packages into a mutable /nix directory and doesn't
violate the immutability principle. Or, perhaps, you'll manage to replicate
those system directories required by Pacman in the /home folder using symlinks
and it will work perfectly without braking immutability.

3. Don't use systemd. It's too feature-rich and bloated for a distro that is
intended for general users. Most people use it simply to grant rights to a
program to run which is already implemented by systemd (or doas, but it's not
preinstalled).
