Bug ID: 517223
Summary: Support for personal / "outlook.com" calendars,
contacts, and groupware
Classification: Applications
Product: korganizer
Version First 6.6.2
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: groupware
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
KOrganizer does not seem to support "Outlook.com" (or live.com) calendars/tasks
or contacts. This is different from Office365 / Enterprise Microsoft
calendars/tasks and address books which are supported using the "Microsoft
Exchange Server (EWS)" plugin. I am requesting that there is functionality
added to allow users to easily connect KOrganizer to their personal Outlook
calendars/tasks and contacts and modify them using it.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KOrganizer settings
2. Add calendar
3. No clear option to add an Outlook.com/Personal Microsoft calendar, task
list, or contacts
OBSERVED RESULT
I am unable to add Outlook/Live calendar/contacts/groupware accounts to
KOrganizer and I cannot manipulate Outlook calendar events, tasks, or contacts
EXPECTED RESULT
I would be able to add Outlook calendars, tasks, and contacts in a similar
workflow to Google Workspace
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux Kernel 6.18.13-200.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I've tried to use the EWS plugin to connect personal accounts but it doesn't
seem to work as enterprise accounts are associated with "office.com" while
personal accounts are associated with "live.com"
