I get the idea. As for META II / TREE-META (which I’m not familiar with), I
must have confused it with the other two tickets and the comment format using
%...%. Plus, the TREE-META example on Wikipedia uses the same format (I hadn’t
read the sentence "% This is an ALGOL-style comment delimited by %") .

Is this comment format common? I’d expect to see the `;` from ABNF, `//` found
in some variants or both (the other formats — `#`, `/* ... */`, `(* ... *)` —
seem prone to conflict to me).
