SUMMARY
When the Plasma Keyboard is enabled, the compose key stops working in the
Chromium browser (Wayland session). Disabling the Plasma Keyboard restores
compose key functionality in Chromium.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Enable Plasma Keyboard.
- Open Chromium browser in a Wayland session.
- Attempt to use the compose key in Chromium.
- Observe that the compose key does not work.
Example:
CTRL + Shift + " + u results in ü is all applications.
CTRL + Shift + " + u results in "u in Chromium when Plasma Keyboard is active.
OBSERVED RESULT
The compose key is non-functional in Chromium when Plasma Keyboardis enabled.
EXPECTED RESULT
The compose key should work in Chromium regardless of the Plasma Keyboard or
"Press-and-hold keys for special characters" feature being enabled.
