Does it work if you save it to a normal directory on your hard drive instead? In general, it is a bad idea to save working files directly into OneDrive, not just in Krita, but in any program. Other than preventing saving, OneDrive often causes file corruption, reverts files to earlier versions or outright loses them. The metadata problem should be Bug 520982, which was recently fixed. Does the nightly release of Krita fix the issue?
