Also I'm unsure if my colorimeter (Huey Pro) is even adequate with "as
measured" settings.

If I run: iccdump -v 3

If I calibrate two different screens, they show different grey color
temperatures.

The Huey, and other colorimeters, may be built for relative/differential
adjustment toward a target, not absolute characterization.
