--- Comment #1 from Ik <[email protected]> ---
The error message I get from Discover is:
<html>Cannot obtain lock:<br/><br/>E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually
run &apos;dpkg --configure -a&apos; to correct the problem.
</html>
I ran that command before too, but that does not resolve the problem.

However, when I run the command "sudo apt purge ubuntu-restricted-extras" after
the dpkg command, I get a screen with title "Pakketconfiguratie" (package
configuration), with a EULA for Microsoft Software (this is in the "-:sudo --
Konsole")
At the bottom of that screen there is some sort of text-button "<OK>", which I
cannot press...
At the top of the screen it says: "Bezig met configureren van
ttf-mscorefonts-installer" (busy installing ttf-mscorefonts-installer). However
the screen never goes away, since I cannot press the <OK> button/text.
When trying to install the package (ubuntu-restricted-extras) originally, I
also ended up in this screen, not knowing what to do next.
So I just closed the sudo-Konsole screen, since I seem to have no other choice.

I hope this helps you understand what is going on.
Thanks again for you help.
