I tried looking into it via AI and it called it "DPMS off causes DisplayPort
output hotplug loop / “no outputs” placeholder, eventually black screen /
amdgpu kernel NULL dereference"
DESCRIPTION
fresh installation. Sleep is disabled on my system.
fwiw, I have used KDE on this same machine about an year ago and did not face
this problem
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Let dmps off
2. leave it for a long time
3. coming back to it later (over an hour), and black screen
OBSERVED RESULT
in the long time (almost immediately after dpms off) the monitor's LED
indicator would turn on and off periodically, but nothing would show on the
screen
EXPECTED RESULT
the monitor not being "pinged to" after dpms off
and on resume actually seeing the screen

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I tried disabling the dim screen because i thought that running after dmps off
could've bugged something (i usually press esc after locking so dmps off
happens before the normal idle time)
i also tried leaving it (without pressing esc), but the "pings" to the monitor
still happen

and this happened on the time where i faced a full black screen and had to
