It would help us a lot if you were more detailed in your descriptions. To see the Speed you're talking about, I had to watch the video. It's necessary to go to System Settings -> Wi-Fi & Networking Select a wired connection (wireless connections don't have this field) Click the Wired tab In the video, Linus (of LTT), reviewing the Steam Machine, asks - why is "Speed" at 100 Mb? He questioned why the Speed drop down would let him select anything he wants, when the "connection" isn't a 100Gb connection (meaning Internet connection). He wanted the field to tell him what the Internet connection speed is. There is a disconnect between what the field is intended for (the link speed of the Ethernet port) vs. what he thought it was for (his Internet connection speed) The tooltip does say "Request that the device use only the specified speed" - but this doesn't define what "device" is or which speed, so the confusion is valid for someone who isn't familiar with networking cards and hardware. There are a couple of potential approaches, between renaming the field (which might be problematic for translations) and updating the tooltip to make it clear what "device" and "speed" are being referred to -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
