Bug ID: 523172
Summary: Present windows shows a ghost window with a visible
close button
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.7.0
Reported In:
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: effects-present-windows
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
When you activate Present Windows effect by moving the mouse pointer to a
screen edge, an invisible window (with a visible close button) seems to move
across the screen. This is reproduced best when all windows are closed, but can
sometimes be seen with some windows open.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure a screen edge to activate any of the "Present windows" variants.
Use preferably one of the left edges (for example, top left), as the close
button travels a longer way and is thus easier to spot.
2. Close all windows. This is not 100% necessary to reproduce the bug, but
helps a lot.
3. Activate "Present windows" by going to the selected edge. See a close button
fly through your screen. If it doesn't happen at the first attempt, try again.
(I'll post a video capture in the next comment, just in case)
This started happening a few weeks ago, probably with Plasma 6.7. I've
reproduced this in newly created users on three different computers (all of
them with Tumbleweed, though).
